Before I came to Sweden I used to work with a non-government organisation in Manila that serves the street children and other vulnerable children such as the physically and sexually abused, the abandoned, orphaned, juvenile delinquents, drugs and substance abusers, and the like.

In 1999, I came to Sweden to study. Since then it has been my wish and desire to organize the Filipino community and other friends in Sweden who can help support our poor children in the Philippines.

The Stödförening För Gatubarn I Manila (SFGIM) was founded  on July 2, 2005 with eight members.
